Microsoft is evolving their learning programs to help you and your career keep pace with today’s demanding IT environments. At Ignite last week, Microsoft announced a new role-based certifications to help you and your career keep pace with today’s business requirements. They are evolving their learning program to better offer what you need to skill up, prove your expertise to employers and peers, and get the recognition—and opportunities—you’ve earned. Check the following document to have a complete overview about the new Microsoft certification program published on September 24, 2018. Stay tuned, because Microsoft is planning to announce more role-based certifications in 2019.

I am so happy and grateful now that I passed the Microsoft Azure Administrator Certification Transition Exam AZ-102.

This exam opened first as beta on July 17, 2018 during Microsoft Inspire in Las Vegas. I was one between 300 peoples worldwide that I had the opportunity to sit for this beta exam. Thank You Microsoft!

I did the beta exam in early August, and by the end of the exam, I received a message that the result won’t be available until the exam’s live publication date. You should receive your printed score report by email within eight weeks (two months) after the exam’s live publication date. Finally, the exam was released to public on September 24, and on October 3rd, 2018 I received the result with PASSING score.

I figured that I would share my experience in this post to help you prepare and tackle this exam successfully.

In this exam, I got something around 49 questions, and the total time for this exam is 180 minutes. The questions do pretty much match the list of skills measured below.
